A few years ago, we reached an agreement with "El-Al" Frequent Flyer Club, whereby we asked our dear friends, "El-Al" passengers, to donate some of their accumulated mileage, so that we can use them to purchase flight tickets for our patients. Since our call, many have already donated of their mileage, and thus we could help many people fly. The main consideration of the special committee that goes through the applications was: To respond to cases which involved saving lives. We have already helped adults, children and even a few infants who needed emergency heart surgery to correct congenital anomalies that called for immediate surgical intervention to save their lives. (In these cases, the bonus tickets were used for the medical staff and the parents, since it was impossible to issue a bonus ticket for an incubator.)

All in all, we have been able to help people with flight tickets worth thousands of dollars, which had a share in saving the lives of those who desperately needed them, made possible through the generosity of the mileage donors.
